UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA – Outlaw Wrestling Club sent 11 talented wrestlers to Spokane, WA, for the 2024 Northwest Bigfoot Battle on Saturday, Nov. 23, at The Podium. The team put on an impressive performance, with three wrestlers placing and showing great effort and sportsmanship at this national-level event.
8th grader Trevor Richardson made a strong impact, going 6-1 and finishing in 3rd place. Trevor dominated his opponents, securing three first-period falls and two major decision wins. After a tough 8-4 loss to Flynn Arnestad, eventual champion, of Virginia in the quarterfinals, Trevor rallied back with four straight victories to secure his spot on the podium in the Middle School Boys 110-pound division.
Dahlia Correales-Fishback also had an impressive outing, finishing 2-1 with two first-period pins in the Middle School 112 pound division. Dahlia’s fierce competitiveness and positive attitude were evident throughout the weekend, as she showed resilience and skill in every match.
Nalla Monson had her best tournament of the season, earning a 2nd place finish. Nalla demonstrated excellent mat awareness and point-scoring ability, showcasing her growth and skill in the 10U 71-pound division.
The Polk Brothers, Alex and Jayce, combined for a solid 6-4 record. These tough competitors proved they can hang with the best, showing determination and grit throughout their matches.
Overall, Outlaw Wrestling Club displayed incredible effort, attitude, and skill at the 2024 Northwest Bigfoot Battle. We are proud of all our athletes and look forward to continued growth as the season progresses. Full tournament results listed below.
