Outlaws on the Mat: 1st Week of December

Tournament Highlights: Stellar Performances from Local Wrestlers at Recent Competitions


The wrestling scene in our area continues to shine with impressive performances across multiple tournaments. Outlaw wrestlers' skills were on full display as they combined for a total of 33 wins, 10 losses, 24 pins, and 6 technical falls. Here's a roundup of how some of our talented Outlaw wrestlers fared in recent events, showcasing their dedication and skill.


PCJWL 1B Sub-Division Varsity Duals Results

  • Christopher Monson III (1-1) of UP Jr Vikings had a solid performance at the PCJWL 1B Sub-Division Varsity Duals. In his first match, he won by forfeit against an opponent from Fife. He then faced a tough challenge against Kinley Rabalais from Auburn but won by pin in 23 seconds. C3 continued with a dominant 16-0 tech fall victory over Leo Gallardo from Olympia.

  • Leimomi Kalilikane (2-0) of UP Jr Vikings also had an impressive 3-0 day. She won her first match by forfeit, followed by a 23-second fall over Sione Bryant from Auburn. Momi capped off her day with another quick 33-second fall, this time against Khalil Jacobs from Olympia.

  • Carson Sandstrom (1-2) of UP Jr Vikings showcased resilience, starting with a fall over Emma Ford from Fife. He faced tough opponents in Hadley McCleery from Auburn and Julian Garcia from Olympia, but ultimately, Carson lost both matches, the latter in a sudden victory overtime.


2025 White River Classic WIAA Results

  • Alexander Polk (3-1) of Timberline High School had a strong showing at his first high school tournament at the 2025 White River Classic, finishing second in the Varsity 106-pound bracket as a Freshman. He won his first three matches by decision, including a hard-fought 14-13 win over Benjamin Griffin from Peninsula and a dramatic 9-8 victory over Brandon Bair from Sequim in the semifinals. Unfortunately, he fell to Brycen Hogan from Emerald Ridge in the final by fall in 31 seconds.

  • Gavin Comstock (5-1) of Graham Kapowsin High School had a strong finish in the Varsity 175-pound bracket, securing third place after a string of pins. He capped his day with a decisive revenge 19-3 tech fall victory in the third-place match over Dallas Stryker Simmons from White River, who he had fallen to 12-10 in the Quarterfinal.


Patriot Dome Classic Results

  • Bryce Bittner (2-1) Freshman for Curtis High School was a standout at the Patriot Dome Classic, placing second in the Varsity 106-pound division. He scored two quick falls in the quarterfinals and semifinals before falling to #4 ranked Shane Spindel from Washington in the finals by tech fall 19-4.

  • Aizak 'Koa' Fetters (4-0) of Curtis High School had a perfect run in the Varsity 120-pound bracket, securing the first place with four consecutive falls. Koa dominated his competition, including a 43-second fall over teammate Crew Williamson in the final.

  • Kamuela Kalilikane (3-1) of Curtis High School placed third in the Varsity 126-pound division. After a bye in the first round, he went on to win two matches, including a tech fall over Aleeciya Meredith. He rebounded from a semifinal loss with a tech fall win over Teagan Croppi in the third-place match.

  • Evan Hand (3-1) of Curtis High School earned second place in the Varsity 150-pound category, scoring three dominant wins by fall and tech fall. In the finals, he was overpowered by Dominique Jefferson from Washington, who won by tech fall 21-5.

  • Xavier Wright (2-2) of Curtis High School placed just outside the top rankings but showed promise with a fall win over Haven Rovang and a quick 6-second fall over Wilmer Castro. Unfortunately, Xavier was eliminated after losses in the semifinals and consolation rounds.

  • Trey Sta Rosa (4-0) of Eatonville High School was unbeatable in the Varsity 157-pound division, taking first place with four falls, including a 1:16 victory in the finals against Mason Fisher from Franklin Pierce.

  • Eli Calderon (4-0) of Curtis High School went undefeated at the Patriot Dome Classic in the Varsity 190-pound division. He secured four victories, including a 20-0 tech fall in the quarterfinals and a 6-4 decision in the finals against James Amadeo from Franklin Pierce.


Our athletes continue to push the boundaries of what they can achieve, and these results are a testament to their hard work and determination over the offseason. We look forward to seeing even more success in upcoming tournaments and helping others along the way!
