Outlaw Wrestling Club Spring Training Program

University Place, WA- Spring is here, and this time of year, many wrestlers have nowhere to train and hang up their boots until September when programs begin wrestling again. At Outlaw Wrestling Club, we strive to create a place where wrestlers can train year-round. Year-round wrestling training may seem daunting at first, but imagine the progress you lose when you take five months out of the year off from wrestling. It kills me when parents compete at every tournament from November to February and then wonder why their kid gets burnt out. Register Here

Why Wrestle Year-Round?

So, how do you convince your wrestler to train year-round? Here’s the key:

  1. Wrestling is an indoor sport – No matter if it's 90 degrees out or snow is falling, we’re rolling!

  2. Balance your training volume – Instead of going all-in for a few months and burning out, spread out the volume. Train once or twice a week during the off-season and 2-4 times per week during competition periods. Compete once a month during off-season and aim for 2-3 competitions per month in peak season.

How We Structure Training

To make year-round training sustainable, we use periodization training to ensure our athletes peak at the right times while allowing flexibility and autonomy during non-competition periods.
